Our ELA Unit Plans have been created by teachers for teachers and contain all of the materials necessary for a teacher to adapt and implement the unit in their own classroom, including descriptions of the learning activities and methods of assessment. All of our unit plans have been peer reviewed and reflect the standards and practices of the Quebec Education Program (QEP).

Flipped—An English Classroom

This unit addresses the issue of mental health, specifically depression and anxiety, through the use of film and text. Students will develop their reading, talk, and production skills through a variety of activities and projects.
Silver Birch Award Reading Program
Activity provided by Jennifer Clark
The school bought a Silver Birch membership so that students could participate and select an award winner over the course of the project. Unit activities included making a book trailer, reading and writing book reviews, author visits, and voting for a favourite book among those read during the program.
