Usborne uses a number of ingredients to make books appealing to children: humour whenever possible; a remarkably wide variety of illustration styles; a very high ratio of pictures to text; tremendous detail; and a totally clear, simple yet unpatronizing text. As our titles expand, we now have a vast array of "fabulous fiction", including our ever-expanding reading series, bringing the number of available titles to over 1500.
