Hybrid and Online Teaching Resources: Digital Production

Picture

Jamboard
An interactive whiteboard and creation tool that can be used in conjunction with other Google tools. Need to have a Google account to use. Great for capturing group discussion and brainstorming. Can also be used as a multimedia production tool as it allows users to bring in online images and video, draw, add emojis and more. A tool that is easy to use if you are already used to Google tools.         - Lise Kuhn, High School Teacher, EMSB

DIY MFA

A fun, free random writing prompt generator that suggests ideas for character, setting, situations and prompts.

Piktochart

A free visual content maker that can be used to make infographics, timelines, movie posters and social media content. I have used this website countless times to have students create posters, timelines, ads, and more.                                       - Pamela Bussey, High School Teacher, NFSB

Canva
Digital online art design software. Posters, newspapers, book covers, etc. If you apply for the educational account, it unlocks a ton of features for free. With your edu admin account, you can make accounts for your whole class with the same unlocked features and create shared folders!
                                                                                                                                   - S. Geukjian, High School Teacher & Media Coach, NFSB

FlipaClip

A free version allows students to create 2-D animation. Can be used for upper elementary or high school. Offers models students can work from. Animation can be done on filmed images. Will require a certain investment of time to get up to speed on how to use the features but is well worth it.
